Epitaph is a German progressive rock band formed in Dortmund in 1969. Known for blending elements of hard rock, progressive rock, and early heavy metal, Epitaph carved out a unique niche in the early 1970s rock scene. Their self-titled debut album, Epitaph, was released on the POLYDOR label in 1971.
