With the new album “Cosmic Ground live”, Dirk Jan Müller, keyboard player of Electric Orange, goes forward with his ambient electronic solo project Cosmic Ground - a project based on a traditional approach of early German electronic pioneers like Tangerine Dream or Ash Ra Temple.
All tracks of “live” were recorded in 2016 at the first two concerts of Cosmic Ground. From each of these concerts, at the E-Live Festival in Oirschot and the Psychedelic Network Festival in Würzburg, two long spacey excursions were selected and mixed - recorded straight from the mixing desk, no overdubs. Every track is a unique improvisation from rhythmic to sequencer driven to ambient / chill out. On both events Horst “Sunhair” Porkert was involved in the musically realization.
