This CD takes the listener on a musical journey, traversing soundscapes and styles in a unique way whose grandeur unfolds more with each additional listening.
The Muffin Men have evolved somewhat over their 13 years of operation. Originally formed for a one-off show in 1990 to celebrate the work of Frank Zappa, they have gone on to establish themselves as one of the most prolific and original units playing frank's music. Along the way they have been joined by various members of the countless Zappa bands from across the years, creating new vibrant arrangements of the music. Jimmy Carl Black, founding member of the mothers of invention has been performing with the band on and off since 1993. Ike Willis and Napoleon Murhy Brock, Don Preston and Bunk Gardner, most recently Mike Keneally have all performed with the band in and around Europe.
