Ken Foust grew up in North Carolina (NC). To come of age in the 1970�s in NC was a challenge in it�s own right. Music for Ken as a teen meant �LOUD CRAZY ROCK!�
Music took hold of his life in the 1970�s. His first forays in live performance was as a guitarist, touring NC with the high school choir & musical troupe in fall of 1979.
In 1980, two events in particular changed his life drastically:

1 - He studied classical guitar and,
2 - He saw The Grateful Dead! (11/30/1980 @ The Fox Theatre)

These two musical experiences changed Ken's life in powerful ways. Music took on a new meaning.
For five years, from 1980 to 1985, he lived in the mountains of western NC. �Old Time� and �Bluegrass� were the main music from this area. The bluegrass styles can be heard all through this latest album, �Ken Foust�.
In 2002, his brother Steve Foust introduced him to Tom Constanten (TC), former keyboardist of GREATFUL DEA
