Along with Kaleidoscope and Los Ovnis' 'Hippies'-LP, this is the rarest of all Mexican psychedelic albums. Bodo Molitor recorded this album for Orfeon Records out of Mexico, and thus were label mates of Kaleidoscope. Bodo created the famous cover for Kaleidoscope and several other covers for Zave Records. Bodo was born in Germany, traveling all over the world and playing music. His album 'Hits Internacionales' was recorded in 1968 and released in 1969. It contains some great cover versions, some own compositions and -here- 4 extra amazing unheard songs. The ultra-rare original copies of this late '60s Mexican garage psych album have 'holy grail-status' amongst collectors. This one belongs in the same league as Mexico's Kaleidoscope. After this release Bodo left Mexico to travel the world and to play music with other musicians. Nowadays, and for many years already, Bodo lives and plays music in Cairo, Egypt, rocking the center of the islamic world. |
