Emtidi have become known mainly through their LP 'Saat' which was released on the Pilz label in 1972. Back in 1970, a very small edition of their firstling, called simply 'Emtidi', had appeared on the small Thorofon label. While there is to be heard some quite traditional folk with acoustic guitar and English lyrics on the LP front side, reminiscent maybe of the early Bob Dylan, the flip side already sounds far more psychedelic, with an abundant use of the flute and 12-string guitar. The male-female duet singing, all in English, is pleasing to the ear. In 1995, a bootleg CD of 'Emtidi' (Germanofon 941057) was released in Luxemburg; it was copied from LP and made up cheaply.
