Following the huge success of the previous box sets “History Box 1 - The Brain Years 1979 - 1981” and “History Box 2 - The Polydor Years 1971-1972,” the band is now turning its attention to the period when it was signed to In-Akustik. Between 2007 and 2014, Epitaph released two studio albums (“Remember The Daze” and “Dancing With The Ghosts”) as well as the live album “The Acoustic Sessions” on the Baden-Württemberg label. As with its predecessors, “History Box 3” once again features plenty of bonus material. Epitaph broke up after their 1982 album “Danger Man.” Although the two guitarists and founding members Cliff Jackson and Bernd Kolbe worked on new material, they released it in 1988 under the band name Kingdom. Around the turn of the millennium, Scorpions guitarist Rudi Schenker asked drummer Jim McGillivray why Epitaph wasn't continuing.
