Aigues Vives aus Rheinbach (im Rheinland, wo sonst) wurden 1971 gegründet, veröffentlichten nach zahlreichen Besetzungswechseln ihre erste und einzige LP "Water of seasons" (EWP/Aarton Music S-135 LP) aber erst zehn Jahre später, 1981. In Hans Pokoras Buch "4001 Record Collector Dreams" (Wien 2003) hat sie immerhin zutreffende zwei Einheiten bekommen, ist also recht teuer. Richtung: Folk mit u.a. Flöte, Keyboards und mehreren Gitarren (akustisch und elektrisch), darunter auch die zwölfsaitige. Englische Texte, auch ein paar Instrumentals dabei. Der CD wurden als Zusatz vier Stücke angehängt, die 1983 und 1984 für ihre unvollendete zweite LP aufgenommen worden waren. Alles vom Mutterband. Wer auf Folk steht, möge bitte zugreifen. Der französische Name hat übrigens nichts zu besagen, es ist eine deutsche Gruppe.

Aigues Vives from Rheinbach (a town situated in the Rhineland) were founded in 1971. Ten years later, in 1981, and after having changed quite a lot their line-up they released their one and only LP "Water of seasons" (EWP/Aarton Music S-135 LP). In "4001 Record Collector Dreams" (Vienna 2003) by Hans Pokora it is graded appropriately with two units. Their style of music is a kind of folk where you can find among other instruments the flute, keyboards, and several guitars: acoustic, instrumental, and as well the twelve-string one. Their lyrics are in English, but some tracks are only electric. As a bonus you can find four tracks which had been recorded for their second although unreleased LP. Taken from the master tape. For people who like folk: please help yourself! By the way, please don't be disturbed by the French name: It's a German band.
